Introduction
Probe & Vaporizer Systems for LNG are the critical elements in obtaining representative samples from a cryogenic flow. For that reason, 360°KAS offers the CryoSamp (>0.7 barg) and a higher pressure (> 2.5 barg) system as reliable and proven solutions. This system is specially designed to sample and vaporise LNG in a controlled way for subsequent sample collection and heating value determination. Particularly without the risk of in between fractionation.
LNG Sampling Systems are used for collecting samples during the custody transfer of LNG cargo. By offline (lab) analysis of these retained samples, principal proof of the transferred LNG quality can be obtained. Together with the density and quantity transferred, the commercial value of the cargo can be determined.
We typically supply a LNG Sampling System in combination with:
- a sample take-off assembly
- a LNG probe & vaporiser system
- sample transport lines
- an online Process Gas Chromatograph in combination with an Intelligent Quality Reporting Module (iQRM).

To reduce the boiling-off effects and risk of fractioned vaporisation to a minimum, the 360°KAS system is designed to raise the pressure of the liquid LNG as high as possible, just before vaporisation.
